MyAus App

The MyAus App is a multilingual digital platform developed by the not-for-profit organisation The Social Policy Group, in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Designed to support newly arrived migrants, refugees, international students, and visa holders, the app provides vital guidance to help users settle and thrive in Australia.

Combining intuitive design with clear, accessible content, the app offers support across key areas such as housing, employment, healthcare, education, transport, and legal rights. It simplifies the complexities of navigating Australia’s federal, state, and local government systems, helping users access important services and information with confidence.

The user experience was shaped through a human-centred design process, informed by ongoing consultation with stakeholders and end users. The final interface prioritises clarity, cultural sensitivity, and ease of navigation, with content available in 20 languages to ensure broad accessibility.

The MyAus App was recognised internationally with two Gold W³ Awards in 2021, for Best User Experience and Cultural Impact, reflecting both its thoughtful design and its meaningful contribution to social inclusion in Australia.
